| Habitat | Heavy crop of unripe pale yellow-green, 4-winged fruits visible from a distance. Frequent, scaterred in degrade dry forest remnants with Thouinidium decandrum, Swietenia humilis, Bursera simaruba, Calicophyllum candidissimum and Lysiloma. |
| Habitus | Medium-sized tree to 15 m ht; dbh 40 cm. Bark light metallic grey, very soft, shedding in small shaggy flakes, inner bark cream-white turning purple-brown on exposure to air. Leafless. |
